I'm on the "Nominating Committee" for the Women's group at our church -just me and another lady -and boy, we've been having a heck of a time trying to find people willing to take one of the officer's positions. Well truthfully, we do have people lined up who will accept the presidency and treasurer's posts but can't find a soul willing to be VP and/or secretary!

My friend Susan and I spent years volunteering for everything, and every single time, at some point I would ask her, "Why did we volunteer for this?" and the response was always, "Because we are the village idiots."

And also because we knew that nobody else would do it. Sigh.

I don't have a head for numbers, they would have fired me from the volunteer position ages ago. I contribute to my children's school... by combining soup labels. And praying for their teachers. Lord knows they could use the extras, lol.
